On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to cordially invite you to the XXXVIII Symposium of Natural Products, to be held at Fu Jen Catholic University, New Taipei City, Taiwan, on October 27-29, 2023.
After three years of online conferences due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now time for an in-person meeting to allow senior experts, emerging Natural Products (NP) stars, and early career scientists to present their research in an exciting combination of plenary lectures, invited talks, oral communications, and poster sessions. Young researchers in the NP field from all over the Taiwan are especially encouraged to participate. This will be a unique opportunity to share your latest scientific discoveries on NP.
Please save the dates on your calendar and help us spread the word to your colleagues who might also be interested in attending.
We look forward to seeing you all in New Taipei City.
Greetings from President of the 38th Symposium on Natural Products

Dear distinguished members of the Society of Chinese Natural Medicine (SCNM), scientists dedicated to natural products research, and experts in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and TCM pharmacy, colleagues and students,
I hereby cordially invite you to participate in "The 38th Symposium on Natural Products-Insights into Natural Products from History." This international symposium will be held from October 27th to October 29th, 2023, at the Fu Jen Catholic University, New Taipei City, Taiwan.
Natural products have always been an essential source of new drugs; in fact, most clinical drugs have been developed from traditional crude drugs and their derivatives. Researchers and practitioners in this field have long held as their ultimate goal the discovery of more effective treatments for people suffering from a variety of diseases. In addition to drug discovery, natural product research and development contribute to human and animal health and well-being in various fields such as nutrition, functional food, agricultural value-added, and applied chemistry. The annual symposium will be an opportunity for us to come together to communicate and share with one another our recent research discoveries. In addition, the impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic is gradually becoming normalized. During the pandemic, natural medicine and traditional Chinese medicine played an important role in medicine and health care, and have attracted the attention of the people in the country and around the world. Therefore, the 38th Natural Medicine Symposium will not only review the important contributions of natural products and traditional Chinese medicine to important human diseases, but will also look at the future developmental direction. Through this natural medicine seminar, the world will see Taiwan's natural products and traditional Chinese medicine research and developmental capacity. This year's symposium will also combine the annual important research findings of the Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy Department of the National Science Council to share the latest results of outstanding domestic natural products and Chinese medicine researchers.
We look forward to welcoming and meeting you at the annual symposium in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
